An affiliate commission is a monetary reward or payment made to an affiliate for promoting a company’s product or service and driving sales or other specified actions (like leads or clicks). In affiliate marketing, affiliates are individuals or companies that promote a brand’s products through their own marketing efforts (such as websites, blogs, or social media), and when their referrals result in a sale or action, they earn a commission from the company.
In jaka affiliate app, commission is caculated based on the order amount. Affiliates can earn a percentage of the sale price (e.g., 10% of each sale) or a fixed amount per transaction (e.g., $5 per sale).
There are three types of commission available:
Percent of Sale: Commissions will be calculated based on a percentage of the value total made thanks to the Affiliate (not including extra fee: shipping, tax…)
For example, if you set the percentage value to 15%, any order made through the referral link will bring your affiliate a 15% value of the total order amount (not including VAT or other extra fees).
After an order is marked as fulfilled and paid, its status will be shown on your back-end in the Affiliates section with the commission amount.
For example: an 100$ order is created via affilaite link => the commission will be 15$.
Flat: Commissions in dollars will be a fixed amount on each order made thanks to the Affiliate (not including extra fee: shipping, tax…)
The referral order status will be updated on your back-end.
Flat per item: Commissions in dollars will be calculated on product unit (not including extra fee: shipping, tax…)
For example, if you set the commission amount to 6$ per item, when your customer makes a purchase of TWO items through the referral link, your affiliate’s commission will be 12$.
