# Edit Affiliate discount code

### 🏷️ What is an Affiliate Discount Code?

An **affiliate discount code** is a unique code created by the app for each affiliate.\
Affiliates can:

* Share the code with customers, or
* Use auto-applied discounts at checkout (if enabled)

### ✏️ How to Edit an Affiliate Discount Code

 1\. Open the app -> click **Affiliates** -> open a particular affiliate account

 2\. Click **Edit** in **Discount** section

 3\. Change the code to the random text you want. Note: discount must be unique

 4\. Click **Save**.

### ⚙️ How It Works

* The updated discount code applies to future orders only
* Customers must use the new code after the change

**Reminder:** The app does not allow entry of discounts that are already defined in Shopify **Discounts**.
